After completing studies in Agronomy and Business, including a stint in the United States, Gabriel realized his future was not limited to farming but in connecting high-quality products with emerging markets. At just 23, he arrived in Chile in 1993 with the ambition to fill a market gap: the importation of bananas, an essential fruit for Chileans but one not produced locally.

His success lay in identifying unique opportunities in the Chilean market. “Chile is a country with high demand for bananas and other tropical fruits.
